Fort Myers Beach Hurricane Prep

With Fort Myers Beach and all of the eastern and southeastern United States now in hurricane season, safety officials urge that now – not when a storm is on the radar and you are in the cone of danger, but now – is the time to conduct your hurricane planning. Fort Myers Beach Council Begins Strategic Planning

The Town of Fort Myers Beach Council hosted the first of its three-part strategic planning session in Council Chambers on Monday morning, June 5. Lorna Kibbey of Leadership Solutions facilitated the program that included the five Council members along with new Town Manager Roger Hernstadt, in a full group as well as small discussion sessions throughout the day.

Acclaimed pianist Richard Dowling will perform the piano works of Scott Joplin, the famed African-American composer of classic ragtime. Dowling is the first pianist in history to perform the complete cycle of Joplin’s 53 piano works in public.
