NEW YEAR'S EVE ON FORT MYERS BEACH

NEW YEAR'S EVE FUN
So Christmas is over and now everyone is wondering what to do on New Years Eve. Well, look no further than right here, because the Sand Paper stands ready to help our readers out and find out everything that is happening so that folks can have as much fun as possible ringing in the New Year! From quiet dinners to big parties, theres something for everyone.
Time Square: Celebrate the birth of a town on New Years Eve as the Town of Fort Myers Beach was incorporated at midnight in 1995. Bay Oaks Recreation Center will be offering free cupcakes and promotional items to the public from noon until 2 p.m. Music will be provided courtesy of Times Square Alliance, and a "Happy Birthday” will be sung to the Town during the birthday party. The party starts with the Troublemakers, who are playing from 1-6pm, followed by High Tide to finish the night, ‘until the cows come home. Alcohol is permitted in the Square area only on New Years, and folks can expect to see numerous vendors selling glow sticks, t-shirts, crafts and more. At midnight, as the Town becomes 19 years old and 2015 begins, the ball will drop and folks will be treated to a spectacular fireworks show. Remember that the Matanzas Bridge will be closed to traffic coming on the island from midnight to 1:30am. It will have two lanes of traffic leaving the island during that time.  TO READ MORE ABOUT WHO IS HOSTING NEW YEAR'S EVE EVENTS ON THE BEACH :  http://www.islandsandpaper.com/teaser1.aspx
