Fort Myers Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade 2013

Come and join the fun on Saturday, March 16th at 10am. It all takes place at Santini Marina Plaza.  

The day starts with the The United Irish trailer arrival at the American Legion parking lot on Buttonwood Street at 7:15 a.m.   

Then the parade heads to Santini Plaza at the south end of Fort Myers Beach, where all the floats will be getting decorated.  After that the parade will begin at 10:00am. The parade is usually started with the Lee County Pipe & Drum Corps.  

After a pause at the parade finishing point, the Church of the Ascension, the float will progress to the Yucatan Restaurant, where everyone can have fun and take part in all the street festival including bag pipes, Irish dancers, and vendors.

Fireman of Cincinnati Show on Fort Myers Beach

The Cincinnati Firefighter are back at the Lani Kai Resort for their annual show on Fort Myers Beach..... These shows run daily at 1:30 p.m. Monday March 11th through March 20th (except for March 15th)

Shrimp Festival Queen Sunset Social 

Everyone is invited to kick off this years 55th Shrimp Festival at the Ft. Myers Beach Lions Shrimp Festival Queen Sunset Social from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Gulfshore Grill located at 1270 Estero Blvd. Fort Myers Beach. The evening is the first opportunity to meet and welcome the 2013 candidates for the Shrimp Festival Queen's Pageant!  It is also the first of a two part series of judging events. Tickets for the event are $10 and can be purchased at the door. 

 Saturday March 9

Shrimp Festival Parade 10am Saturday. This 2 mile long parade runs down the main street of town (Estero Blvd) from the beach school to the County Park and Festival Grounds on the beach

 World Famous Lions Club Shrimp Dinners!
  On the beach and pavilion 10am Saturday til 5pm and Sunday 10 am til they’re all sold out.

 ANNUAL BLESSING OF THE FLEET 2013

St. Raphael’s Church will be back on the water for the Blessing of the
Fleet on Sunday, March 11, 2013

This year’s blessing will take place on the water with the Bishop and his entourage on board, with Water Music will circle the shrimp docks and mooring area in San Carlos Bay blessing all boats that are anchored or docked along the shore. Water Music will then lead a procession of pleasure craft and commercial vessels out to the gulf where the boat will be anchored in front of the pier.  At this time, a wreath honoring those lost at sea will be tossed into the gulf
and all boats will receive a blessing from the Bishop. The Blessing will begin on the bay side at 2:00pm and will end on the gulf side when the last boat has been blessed.
